Did you know that photography literally means “to draw with light”? Seems obvious if you’re up on your classic languages and roots..but I’m not.
So I find this really captivating.
Photography: drawing with light.
Physical light is, essentially, ever-present. So to draw with light isn’t necessarily to create something new, but rather, to play with and reorient the light that already exists. To re-imagine and re-structure reality. Or, to just let it be — to capture it as is through one’s own vision.
Light — there’s no implement more powerful than that.
